I love TEDTalks. Every kind. I recently listened to Amy Cuddy’s TEDTalk: Your Body Language Shapes Who you Are.
Amy Cuddy, Associate Professor at Harvard Business School, uses experimental methods to investigate how people judge each other and themselves. She shares some fascinating research and explains how non-verbal behavior can affect a variety of things – including interviewing.
Cuddy says, “We make sweeping judgments and inferences from body language. And those judgments can predict really meaningful life outcomes like who we hire or promote.”
She presents incredibly useful and informative facts. It’s great for anyone, but I highly recommend listening to this before you go on an interview.
The link is below. It’s about 20 minutes. Put it on your iPod and listen to it while you’re working out, driving, cleaning – anything. It’s worth the time.
